BIO:
If the gritty streets of Yonkers has one out spoken voice, it would come from none other than Snyp Life. Originally from Mt.Vernon, N.Y this Yonkers-bred mc is no stranger to the under-ground circuit having grown up on the same streets as The Lox, DMX and others it was destiny for Snyp Life to be groomed since a child as a slick, witty rhyme slayer.
Due to circumstances surrounding the “street-life” most rappers proclaim Snyp was sent to prison at 18.. right when he was destined to shine serving 3 years off of a 6 year conviction. Snyp returned to the streets and immediately went to work on his first mixtape entitled “Y.O’s Finest” off of his newly founded indie label 354ent.
Countless mixtapes and appearances later from Dj Kay Slay, Dj Clue, Dj Envy, Dj Green Lantern and many others Snyp was recruited by The LOX to become a solid piece of their “D-Block” label and appeared on “No Security” which was released on newly formed E-1 Records(formerly known as KOCH Records) Since then Snyp has appeared on each of the LOX trio’s solo projects as well as dropped his own “Best Of SnypLife” series 1-3 and “Roadkilla” series which has over a combined 100k downloads and counting.
Outside of the D-Block imprint, Snyp Life has traded bars and has been featured on records with some of Hip Hop’s biggest names such as French Montana, Fat Joe, Wyclef, Maino, Joe Budden and so forth making a mark for himself as a future hip hop heavyweight.
Snyp was also featured in iGet@Em The Magazine twice both as a cover artist and as a feature which has been released and seen publicly on News Stands nationwide, as well as servicing as the official opening act on The Lox “Trinity Tour” which has graced many stages all across the Untied States. Despite his tireless work ethic, Snyp has made time to become a very prominent role in the community for his work with Autism and children with Special Needs.
He says his inspiration is from his own 7 year old Autistic son whom he made an Autism awareness song and video with.I n all, Snyp describes his style as “Vintage NY 90’s ish” and upon meeting him you can feel his energy and ambitious thoughts and ideas.
