Yog Westwood just dropped his new single "I'm On" Ft Nyhtee.
Affectionately known as "Mr Calizona”, Yog Westwood is a very seasoned artist who initially embarked upon his musical journey as a boy. At first, rapping was just a past time for the young man; however, constant compliments and demands from listeners spawned him to become serious. His sound is unlike any other artist who preceded him and can be described precisely in three words- real, raw, and relevant. It's a west coast sound with a twist of 2014. "What sets me apart from others is the sound...I sound like no one else," he said.
Yog Westwood built the foundation of his buzz by launching a full-service recording studio and consistently producing hypnotizing beats. After realizing that the artists he developed didn't share an equal passion for their music, he began to shift the attention on himself.
Since then, the registered BMI member has performed live in several notable markets including: California, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, and Utah. The lyrical OG has worked with many established artists such as: Brotha Lynch Hung, Kymani Marley, MC Eiht, OG Kokane, Yung Wax, Jayo Felony, Glasses Malone, Big2DaBoy, Doty, and more.
Recently recognized on Hot 97s Who’s Next, Yog Westwood is currently recording a new album with Felony Muzik and Rampage (Flipmode Squad) entitled, "I'm Him". This project is anticipated to be his biggest release to-date and features the legendary OG Kokane.
